This Privacy Policy is issued by Aqueous International Ltd, a company incorporated in Hong Kong (“we”, “us”, “our”), operator of the MarketBrief service at thedailymarketsbrief.com. We are the data controller in respect of personal data collected through this service.

By subscribing to MarketBrief you acknowledge that you have read this policy and consent to the collection and use of your data as described herein.

- To generate, format, and deliver your daily MarketBrief PDF report at your chosen time
- To process subscription payments and manage billing via Stripe
- To send transactional emails: subscription confirmation, payment receipts, delivery notifications, and service updates

- To detect fraud, abuse, or unauthorised sharing of reports
- To comply with applicable legal obligations
We will not use your data for unsolicited marketing, profiling, or behavioural advertising without your separate explicit consent.

5. International Data Transfers
Aqueous International Ltd is incorporated in Hong Kong. Your data may be processed in Hong Kong, the United States, and other countries where our processors operate. Where data is transferred outside of jurisdictions with adequacy decisions (including the EEA or UK), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where applicable.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with specific data protection laws, you retain the rights described in Section 8 below regardless of where your data is processed.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your subscription is active, plus:
- 24 months after cancellation for accounting, legal compliance, and dispute resolution purposes
- 7 years for financial and transaction records where required by Hong Kong law
After the applicable retention period your data is securely deleted or anonymised. You may request earlier deletion subject to Section 7 below.
7. Your Rights
Regardless of your location, we respect the following rights in relation to your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion — request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”), subject to legal retention obligations
- Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format

Hong Kong residents: Your rights are governed by the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). You may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD) at pcpd.org.hk.
Other jurisdictions: We will honour requests consistent with applicable local law.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted HTTPS connections, access controls limited to authorised personnel, encrypted data storage, and regular security reviews. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a high risk to your rights, we will notify you without undue delay in accordance with applicable law.
10. Cookies
The MarketBrief website uses only strictly necessary cookies required for core site functionality (e.g. remembering your form preferences in local browser storage). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies without your explicit consent. No cookie consent banner is required for strictly necessary cookies only.
11. Children
MarketBrief is not directed at or intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify active subscribers of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision. Your continued use of the service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
